West Cornwall Pastry is a fast food chain in United Kingdom that specializes in pastries. It was first invented as a meal for miners. Now, it I some of the popular food chains in the country. They have a wide selection of pastries that you will be in for a surprise.

There was an outlet at Cambridge. My friend and I noticed the outlet for the last couple of days. The outlet was always beaming with customers. Just like George the curious monkey, we decided to patronize the stall and bought two Cornwall pastries - Traditional Cornish Pastry.

Our first impression was that it was a large version of our local Curry O'. The pastry crust was flaky and the filling was generous. Indeed, this pastry could be a meal on its own. The Traditional Cornish Pastry comprises of fresh traditional prime skirt beef layered with potatoes, swede, onions, and seasoned with a secret blend of salt and pepper. To us, it tasted very normal, nothing special or unique to have our eyes wide open in amazement.

If you are tired of eating bread or baguette every day or you have cravings for snacks, why not go for the cornwall pastries for a change. Each pastry cost around GBP8.

Midsummer House, a 2 Michelin-starred French restaurant, is located at Cambridge, United Kingdom near Cambridge University. Strategically located in townhouse next to River Cam, Daniel Clifford is the chef patron of the restaurant since 1999.

My friends and I were there for a term and decided to try our first Michelin-starred restaurant. We had the 7 course dinner menu. The ambience was serene and tranquil. The serving staff were attentive. The most important thing was the chance to eat a Michelin-starred restaurant which was uncommon in Singapore.

Personally, I feel that it was a good dining experience. The food was extraordinary and delicious. It was a memorable and wonderful experience.

Each person was about GBP75. For the price we are paying, it was worth it. Kudos to Daniel Clifford!!

When you are in Cambridge University and walking along Trinity Street, you will notice a green storefront. My friends and I frequented the place for our meals as their meals were rather decent and filling. :)

The Fried Calamari were huge! They were also perfectly cooked. I love the tender rings and generously dipped with tartar sauce. (Food rating: 2.5/5)

When you are in the United Kingdom, you must try their Fish and Chips. Just like in the United States, their portions were enormous. The green peas, french fries (chips) and fish fillet were big in portions that they could be a meal for me for the entire day. (Food rating: 2.5/5)

Cheese + Bacon + Sour Cream is rather unique at Tattie's. The nicely cooked bacon just made me salivate. Wrap the bacon with sour cream and cheese and viola! you are going to enjoy this! (Food rating: 3/5)

We had dinner at Chez Gerard Steakhouse and Bar at Heathrow International Airport. The wait at the airport was very long and we were hungry.

We ordered a serving of beef steak and lamb chops. Both were extremely good.

It was a pity that the restaurant has closed down.

The French Onion soup were so good. The beef broth and sweet onion were mind-blowing.

My friend and I visited to Chengdu to watch a concert by Fish Leong. We arrived earlier and decided to explore Chengdu and its local cuisine. I asked several friends for food recommendations and was told to try this stall called Hakka Shangxin Liangfen (客家傷心涼粉). Liang fen is usually known as cool bean starch noodles. Shangxin Liangfen (傷心涼粉) means 'sad noodles' and is Sichuan's local specialties. It was rumoured that this dish was made by a person who missed home.
