My partner and I went to restaurant called CUT by Wolfgang Puck at Marina Bay Sands. It was a very nice place with great ambiance to dine with your partner. We were warmly greeted by the staff. Although we didn't make any reservations, the staff was able to get us a table quickly and led us into the restaurant.
CUT by Master Chef Wolfgang Puck opened its third location in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands - The Shoppes. It was also its first international restaurant in Asia. CUT offers the finest range of beef selection frilled over hard wood and charcoal that befits its name as the true steak connoisseur. A modern interior completes the contemporary menu.

Below are the beautiful and tasty food we ordered at the restaurant.

My family and I had our reunion dinner at the Mandarin Court restaurant (previously named as Pine Court Restaurant). We had fond memories of the excellent quality of food and service two years ago at Pine Court.

This year, we chose the most expensive dinner menu and added one more dish - prawns. We were looking forward to the excellent food again.

To our dismay, the food quality was not up to par. The food was normal as if we had ordered another dinner menu. When it came to the fish, it was half cooked. We requested for a replacement but was only offered to same fish recooked. When the servers showed us the fish for the second time, it was smashed and badly presented. We were explained that they had ran out of the same fish. If we were to request for a replacement, we could be given the second best fish.

The first dish was the yu sheng, followed by soup. Both are tasted normal. I like the roasted suckling pig. The skin was very crispy. The prawn tasted only ok, followed by the fish. The scallops were freshly prepared and you could taste the crunchiness. The vermicelli served was nice. The bird's nest with almond cream was appreciated for those who love almond.

There is a new stall that was recently set up at Potong Pasir and we decide to give it a try.

I liked the texture of the rice. It was neither too hard nor too soft. The rice was cooked from the grains whereas some claypot rice stalls would use pre-cooked rice. The chicken meat was tender and juicy. Mixed with salted fish and chinese waxed sausage, the food was delicious! You just have to be patient as the order may take at least 15mins.

Do give it a try.

My friends and I went to Hai Tien Lou at Pan Pacific Hotel for lunch. We had the lunch set menu.

The menu includes a set of 4 dim sum, roast chicken, hot & sour soup, spinach with preserved vegetables, ee-fu noodles and Cheng Tng. I could say that both the service and food served were exceptionally divine. The servers were very attentive and friendly. As for the food, they were very well cooked. You would want to eat more.

Most importantly, the restaurant is located at the 37th floor. You could also see the beautiful landscape,

Do give this restaurant a try!!

  • Classic Carbonara with poached eggs (my order)
  • Strawberry Crepe Dessert

For entrees, I ordered the classic carbonara with poached eggs.At the end of the day, I personally enjoyed the entire experience at Canele. The food was great. The staff were a little less attentive but friendly.

Overall experience, nice ambiance, good food and excellent company.

My colleagues and I decided to dine at Chef Daniels to celebrate the start of a new year. We ordered set lunches:
  • Ribeye Caesar Palace - grilled ribeye steak with beannaise sauce and caesar salad
  • Oven-baked Chicken - baked chicken with sauteed mixed mushroom and potato slices
  • Pan-fried Snapper Fillet - snapper fillet served with Tianjin cabbage, bacon, green fritters, and garlic
The food served were superbly delicious! The steak was wonderfully cooked and I enjoyed the steak very much.

The baked chicken was very well marinated. When we cut the chicken, the crispy skin and succulent meat was beyond words. It was crispy in the outside and soft in the inside.

The snapper fillet was so nicely pan-fried. Dipped with the sauce, the snapper fillet was another dish that cannot go without.

In other words, the food was delicious and a must-have.

However, there is one concession. The service would be rather slow and you need to be a little patient.

Slow but good service. :)

If you are in the vicinity of Cambridge, do visit The Cambridge Chop House.

We visited Cambridge one autumn and decided to check out the restaurant. We ordered steak, cod fish fillet, lamb chop and even appetizers. All of them were superbly delicious!!

The scallops were crispy and juicy. The mint puree went well with the scallops.

The tender sirloin steak served with sauce, the grilled lamb chop and pan fried cod fish were absolutely divine.

The ambience was great too. Conducive for family/ friends outings.
