We met with our common friend today and had lunch at Grandma Restaurant, Paragon. We ordered five dishes - vegetables, chicken, prawn and tofu. All the food were delicious!

The Choy Sum was well cooked and the stems were soft and sweet.

The curry chicken was simply divine!! It tasted great with white rice.

The fried tofu was crispy when it was served. The spicy sauce boosted the entire taste. Great tofu.

For those who cannot eat spicy food, the honey glazed chicken would be an excellent choice.

Last but not least, the prawns with salted egg yolk is equally wonderful. The prawns were fresh and crispy!! The salted eggs brought out the sweet prawns. :)

All in all, the food at Grandma's are superbly divine!! Must try!!

There are many outlets around Singapore. Why not drop by one of the outlets and give it a try. :)

Fried Tofu with some spicy sauce - This is doubly delicious!!

Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk - This is very delicious!!
A private dining restaurant, Tong Le (同樂) is the currently the most luxurious-looking Chinese restaurant in town. As part of the Tung Lok Group, the restaurant offers food that is priced to match the luxuriant ambience and food fare. Tong Le boasts of using the best quality ingredients and chef who have worked in some Michelin-starred restaurant and its excellent ambience that overlooks the Marina Bay view.

Tong Le offers a panoramic view of the stunning Marina Bay waterfront. Through its transparent glass, diners can complete a panoramic tour of the Marina Bay area within two hours whilst enjoying the fine dining Chinese cuisine.

When we first arrived at the restaurant lobby, we were greeted by two friendly ladies who brought us up to level 5. Thereafter, we were brought to our table where we were also greeted by friendly staff. Their not-intrusive friendliness and attention made us comfortable in the high-end dining restaurant.

When seated, we were served by a VIP manager who attended to our every needs during the entire course. As the restaurant revolved, the view became more beautiful.

Dining in the day give you the full view of the Marina Bay waterfront whilst at night, you will enjoy a romantic dining experience with your loved ones.

One of the four starters - noodles with shrimp paste

Starter #3 - Black Fungus and Lotus bud in wasabi

My favourite - Deep fried Golden Mushroom

Braised Bird's Nest with Wintermelon Puree in Superior Broth

Star Garoupa Fillet with Sweet and Sour Dressing

Braised Australian Green Lip Abalone

Crystal Prawn Braised in Superior Stock, served with Japanese Udon

Chilled Mango accompanied with homemade Mango Sorbet, Blood Orange, Pomelo and Sago. The dessert looked and tasted ordinary, which I expected better in a fine-dining restaurant.

After a late meeting with our ID, we went to Yong He Eating House for dinner. We ordered a variety of food.

Most of the food were delicious and freshly prepared. A couple of them were just mere so-so and could have been prepared better.

I liked the Fried Carrot Cake and You Tiao best. The carrot cake was prepared differently with the egg covering the entire pancake of white radish strips. The You Tiao on the other hand was delicious. It could be eaten on its own.

Nice!!! The food is mostly delicious and worth to give it a try.

Fried Carrot Cake - Interesting food unlike the conventional carrot cake sold in most coffee houses.
Vermicelli with Pig's stomach, not oyster. It was delicious.
Fried Fritters or You Tiao - freshly fried and crispy
Pork Belly Bun or Kong Ba bao - well it tasted nice.
Meat balls - it was interesting with a little of spiciness.
Meat Soup Dumplings - Not so nice. the meat was sandy. I think the other restaurants have prepared better.
BBQ bun - so so.
Fried Meat Dumpling/ Guo Tie - it tasted like the Meat Soup Dumpling. I wish it could tasted better.
Spring Onion Pancake - it was nice.

On one occasion, my friends and I went to Ramen Culture at ICON for lunch. This restaurant seemed to be a popular place for the office crowd. The turnover was very high.

We had a sudden craving for Italian food and went into Domani restaurant. We ordered two pasta, a soup and dessert.

The crazy twin crab pasta was interesting but tasted very normal. I like the soft shell crab. It was nicely fried. The scallop cream pasta was nicely cooked. I like the crispiness of the scallops. Both pastas were normal and nothing much to wow about.

The dessert, tiramisu, was delicious.

Although the food was nice, it was a place that you will not want to come back for more. The food was nice but normal.
