Imperial Treasure Noodles and Congee House @ Raffles City, Singapore

A new product line from Imperial Treasure Group of Restaurants - Imperial Treasure Noodles and Congee House (御宝粥面专家), a casual dining concept at Raffles City Shopping Centre.
Two meat BBQ Combo (above), priced at SGD20, was a great choice if you did not have any idea what to order. We ordered roasted pork belly and duck meat. The roasted pork belly was fabulous with crispy skin and tender meat. Each bite gave out crackling sounds. The roasted duck meat was tender and did not have a bitter aftertaste, as if you were eating chicken. (Food rating: 3/5)

String Green Bean with Minced Pork was perfectly cooked. At SGD14, the serving was just nice for two persons. The vegetables were cooked retaining the crunchiness. The minced pork was tender and the sauce was delicious and fragrant. It was a perfect vegetable dish to eat with a bowl of steamed white rice. (Food rating: 2.5/5)

The disappointment was this Diced Chicken with Beancurd Cubes and Salted Fish. The dish had a very unique taste - a taste that might not be acceptable to many, and very salty at the same time. The portion of the salted fish might be too much that it overpowered the entire dish. The beancurd cubes fried into golden brown colour which was beautiful. Though the presentation was nice, the taste was overpowering. (Food rating: 2/5)
