TanYu [探鱼] is one of the popular grilled fish restaurants in Shenzhen. Launched in 2013, it was known as "Shenzhen's most artistic grilled fish restaurant" and became popular overnight. It has foothold in over 70 major cities in China with more than 180 outlets. TanYu opened its first overseas flagship store in Singapore in 2017 and has now 3 outlets - Bugis Junction, Westgate and 313@Somerset. Because of COVID-19, we did not have our favourite grilled fish place at Shanghai. We found this place alternative to sate our craving. TanYu's bestseller and signature dish is the Chongqing Grilled Fish with Beancurd [重庆豆花烤鱼] . It has raw ingredients from Guizhou mountainous area including the local wrinkled skin peppers, fruit of spicebush, mint, herbs, houttuynia root, etc., making this dish special and delicious. NAUI GAYA serves two famous dishes from the Korean cuisine - Bulgogi and Gopchang, and other Korean specialty dishes. A popular restaurant joints among locals and the store exudes a comfortable and family-like atmosphere. Located within Hyundai Department Store at Trade Centre, the restaurant offers a variety of beef dishes, from BBQ marinated bulgogi beef to beef sukiyaki to beef rib soup. Similar to Seorae BBQ , the Marinated Beef Short Ribs were tender, juicy, and rich in flavour. The taste was heightened when eaten with fresh lettuce leaves and raw green chilli. Food rating: 4/5 (KRW 43,000) Cooked using a Brass Grill and Hotpot Pan, the marinated beef slices was cooked on the grilled and the mushrooms cooked with delicious sukiyaki broth. The broth tasted like the Japanese sukiyaki - rich, sweet with nice beef and mushroom flavour. Nestled in a quiet neighbourhood in Sennet Estate, you will find two popular coffee shops along Tai Thong Crescent. But first, I will be introducing the first coffee shop - Lao Zhong Zhong Eating House. Lao Zhong Zhong Eating House offers a variety of great foods. It is very popular as all its stalls offers super delicious foods. Mr Duck serves a variety of mouth-watering dishes like duck noodles , duck rice and of course, Kway Chap . Mr Duck also delivers right to your door step via food delivery apps like Deliveroo. I had dined and ordered food delivery and both experiences were superbly great. The Kway Chap is one of my personal favourites. So what is Kway Chap and what keeps people coming for more?
