NAUI GAYA serves two famous dishes from the Korean cuisine - Bulgogi and Gopchang, and other Korean specialty dishes. A popular restaurant joints among locals and the store exudes a comfortable and family-like atmosphere. Located within Hyundai Department Store at Trade Centre, the restaurant offers a variety of beef dishes, from BBQ marinated bulgogi beef to beef sukiyaki to beef rib soup. Similar to Seorae BBQ , the Marinated Beef Short Ribs were tender, juicy, and rich in flavour. The taste was heightened when eaten with fresh lettuce leaves and raw green chilli. Food rating: 4/5 (KRW 43,000) Cooked using a Brass Grill and Hotpot Pan, the marinated beef slices was cooked on the grilled and the mushrooms cooked with delicious sukiyaki broth. The broth tasted like the Japanese sukiyaki - rich, sweet with nice beef and mushroom flavour. TanYu [探鱼] is one of the popular grilled fish restaurants in Shenzhen. Launched in 2013, it was known as "Shenzhen's most artistic grilled fish restaurant" and became popular overnight. It has foothold in over 70 major cities in China with more than 180 outlets. TanYu opened its first overseas flagship store in Singapore in 2017 and has now 3 outlets - Bugis Junction, Westgate and 313@Somerset. Because of COVID-19, we did not have our favourite grilled fish place at Shanghai. We found this place alternative to sate our craving. TanYu's bestseller and signature dish is the Chongqing Grilled Fish with Beancurd [重庆豆花烤鱼] . It has raw ingredients from Guizhou mountainous area including the local wrinkled skin peppers, fruit of spicebush, mint, herbs, houttuynia root, etc., making this dish special and delicious. I found out about Zheng's Pork Knuckle (鄭記豬腳飯), whilst gathering information on the net . I was glad that I tried the food as it was one o f the best Taiwanese food I ha d ever enjoyed immensely. The restaurant is located in the vicinity of Ximending (西門町) with Xim en station nearby. From Ximen Station, we got los t many times before we found the the place. It was not diff i cult to find as we got famil iar with the r oad directions. At Zheng's , you will n otice a huge signage of the menu with prices above the s hop. The shop ha d very simple in terior and seats along the cor ridor outs ide . We ordered a co uple of dishes. What I liked about the restau rant was that the owner was very hon est. Instead of ord ering three rice meals, h e suggested t hat we order one of the three as sides. Luckily, we heeded his advice. It was a hearty meal and the food was fantastic!
