NAUI GAYA serves two famous dishes from the Korean cuisine - Bulgogi and Gopchang, and other Korean specialty dishes. A popular restaurant joints among locals and the store exudes a comfortable and family-like atmosphere. Located within Hyundai Department Store at Trade Centre, the restaurant offers a variety of beef dishes, from BBQ marinated bulgogi beef to beef sukiyaki to beef rib soup. Similar to Seorae BBQ , the Marinated Beef Short Ribs were tender, juicy, and rich in flavour. The taste was heightened when eaten with fresh lettuce leaves and raw green chilli. Food rating: 4/5 (KRW 43,000) Cooked using a Brass Grill and Hotpot Pan, the marinated beef slices was cooked on the grilled and the mushrooms cooked with delicious sukiyaki broth. The broth tasted like the Japanese sukiyaki - rich, sweet with nice beef and mushroom flavour. Speed-Travelling Weekend Getaway - Guangzhou, China

With China relaxing its borders after the pandemic, we flew to Guangzhou - our first destination over the weekend. Our last visit to Guangzhou was in 2015. It is about time that we visit the beautiful and flourishing city. Day 1: Arrival and Get Acquainted with the City We arrived at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (广州白云国际机场) on Saturday morning. We took the subway to the nearest station where our accommodation is located. We stayed at the Oakwood Premier Guangzhou (广州方圆奥克伍德豪景酒店公寓) which is like a business hotel. The hotel is strategically located in the Tianhe District - a new city centre and business district of Guangzhou. The Tianhe district is thriving with many new developments, including skyscrapers and luxurious shopping malls. We took the subway and alighted at 体育西路站. We walked to our all-time favourite restaurant Waipojia (外婆家) . A restaurant-chain across China, the branch nearest to the hotel accommodation is located at 马场路 36号天河领展广场 6楼. TanYu [探鱼] - Shenzhen's artisan grilled fish, Singapore

TanYu [探鱼] is one of the popular grilled fish restaurants in Shenzhen. Launched in 2013, it was known as "Shenzhen's most artistic grilled fish restaurant" and became popular overnight. It has foothold in over 70 major cities in China with more than 180 outlets. TanYu opened its first overseas flagship store in Singapore in 2017 and has now 3 outlets - Bugis Junction, Westgate and 313@Somerset. Because of COVID-19, we did not have our favourite grilled fish place at Shanghai. We found this place alternative to sate our craving. TanYu's bestseller and signature dish is the Chongqing Grilled Fish with Beancurd [重庆豆花烤鱼] . It has raw ingredients from Guizhou mountainous area including the local wrinkled skin peppers, fruit of spicebush, mint, herbs, houttuynia root, etc., making this dish special and delicious.
