If you are in the Central Business District, you may want to check out a new food outlet - The Daily Cut, located at the basement of One Raffles Place.
I have been noticing this new outlet for sometime but I never had the opportunity to try the food. The queue is always very long - during lunch and even after office hours. Unlike the usual ordering process, you have to complete the order form placed at the perimeter of the stall, select your items, and then queue to submit your orders and make payment. After payment, you will queue a separate line to collect your food.
I ordered myself a regular set at SGD12, comprising 1 protein, 1 complex carbs and 3 supplements. My regular set include a tilapia fillet (freshly cooked with a tint of salsa like sauce), whole wheat pasta (black pepper pasta - not bad and chewy), button mushroom (+$0.50) (nice aromatic mushrooms just the way i like it), sweet corn (sweet) and mozzarella (+2.00) - it is in cubes. I was expecting the mozzarella cheese to be melted. It felt a little weird eating them in cubes.
