Woo Rice Box, Singapore (Food rating: 3/5)

After a long day's work, I was too tired to cook dinner. So, I went to Woo Rice Box for the first time to buy dinner home. The restaurant had been operating at the basement of Ocean Financial Centre since 2013. lt was like a fast food chain or like Yoshinoya. The service was quite fast.

Woo Rice Box was not bad. The staff was friendly and patient, especially for first timers like me. I think, if I were to miss Taiwanese food, I may dine or order takeaway.

Railway Pork Chop Rice Box (铁路怀旧饭饱), priced at USD9.90, comprised braised white cabbage, preserved vegetables and blanched broccoli. The steamed rice, however, was chewy and in grainy bits. It was just the way I loved it. As for the pork cutlet in braised sauce, it was both sweet and tender. The preserved vegetables were sweet too. Eating the vegetables, especially the preserved vegetables, you will find the dish delicious. I could not stop eating until the entire box was emptied out. (Food rating: 3/5)

Golden Pork Cutlet (黄金排骨), priced at SGD4.90, was a huge piece of pork cutlet. Though it was thinly sliced, the taste was delicious and the fragrance addictive. I was drooling while bringing the takeaway home. The only thing that lacking from this pork cutlet was powdered chilli. I bet that it would taste more delicious if it was spicier.
