It was unfortunate that Takumi Yamamoto closed its doors permanently at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. Throughout the years, I have posted numerous reviews about the gastronomic foods from the restaurant. The restaurant has recently changed its name from Hide Yamamoto to Takumi Yamamoto. We are going to miss this superb restaurant in Singapore.
The grilled prawns were lightly salted, bringing out the freshness and sweetness from the seafood. The prawn head was then grilled to crisp. More importantly, each bite on the prawn's head exuded a rich fragrance and aroma that was unforgettable. It reminded me of the one I had at Kamoto @ Tachikawa, Tokyo. (Food rating: 4.5/5)
The Seasonal Vegetables with Italian Truffle Aroma remains delicious. Using petrified wood grill, the seasonal vegetables were cooked until it is lightly charred. Each piece of seasonal vegetables exuded a nice woody aroma. Sizzled with salt, the taste of each vegetable heightened. (Food rating: 4.5/5)
Tasted very similar to Singapore's Satay, the Skewered Chicken marinated in ginger sauce was succulent and tender. The juice seeped from the lemongrass stick as it was pulled out. The charred corners on the tender chicken cubes were especially delicious. The rich aroma was irreplaceable. (Food rating 4.5/5)
As we reached the climax of our gastronomical experience, the whole young chicken stuffed with trufle rice, butter and soy flavour brought us to new heights. Grilled using petrified wood, the chicken remained tender and moist. The aromatic rice was rich and chewy. Each bite on the rice was heavenly. (Food rating: 5/5)
Regrettably that the restaurant has moved out of Singapore, each ambrosial dish we had at the restaurant will not be forgotten.

Ambience: A cosy and beautiful dining place for family and couples. The service staff were very friendly and attentive.
