Grandma's Kitchen (外婆家), Beijing, China

We are back at Grandma's Kitchen (外婆家) in Beijing. Without fail, we ordered our favourites and enjoyed every bite and savoured the taste.

The delicious Hangzhou cuisine never fails to attract diners locally and internationally like me.

Braised Duck Meat (昂周卤鸭)
I loved the tender, sweet and rich duck meat. It reminded me of my mother's cooking. (Food rating: 4/5)

Grandma's Pork (外婆红烧肉), RMB 45
The pork belly is rich with collagen. The succulent pork belly has a nice fragrance and the salted fish was fantastic. (Food rating: 4/5)

Fried Beancurd Skin
I loved the crispiness of the fried beancurd skin. (Food rating: 3.5/5)

Grilled Corn Cob (烤玉米)
It is just grilled corn cob with no condiments or flavouring.(Food rating: 2.5/5)

Pork belly slices with paprika (dried chilli powder)
Tender belly slices with nice spice fragrance. (Food rating: 4/5)

Spicy potato slices in claypot
This is my ultimate favourite. The potato slices were first fried and then cooked in the spicy chili sauce. The overall taste was divine. (Food rating: 4.5/5)

Fried Chinese Long Beans with Red Chilli
One of my favourite dishes with crunchy long beans with the right amount of spiciness. (Food rating: 4/5)
