We featured Saveur at The Cathay previously. This time, we went back to the original restaurant at Purvis Street near the famous Bugis Street.
Entered through the beautiful white French Doors, we walked through the aisle towards the back of the restaurant. It is a simple, yet cosy interiors. There are two strips of tables at each side of the aisle. As we walked towards the back of the restaurant, the open concept kitchen and beverage counter are located at right side of the aisle. The main kitchen is located behind the wall at the end of the restaurant. There is a small opening on the wall, where the servers collect the food when served.
It was an experience to be seated directly opposite of the open concept where I got to see front row view of the kitchen.
Chocolate Ice Cream with Waffle
Mushroom Soup ($4.90). It was delicious but compared to The French Table, this will be my second choice.
Chilli Crab Squid Ink Pasta ($18.90) - Buttered Crab Meat, Squid Ink Pasta, Spicy Chilli Sauce, Poached Egg.
Steak Au Poivre ($26.90) - Tenderloin Cut, Mashed Potato, Peppercorn Sauce, Diced Aparagus, Mushroom.
