Hidden in the popular Alexandra Village Food Centre, Soon Lee Fire-Pot Stewed Beef offers a variety of stewed beef and mutton soup. Behind the stall was an uncle, busily preparing the stewed beef, especially the fire-pot stewed beef.
This is still one of my favourite food amongst the stalls at the food centre. The fire-pot stewed beef remains my first choice whenever I am there.

The fire-pot stewed beef had generous portions. The beef pieces were very tender that I can never forget after they melt into my mouth. My favourite in the fire-pot is the soft chunky carrots beneath the beef cubes, which gave the gravy a sweet aftertaste. The chopped Chinese Parsley with the beef cubes together were delicious. The chilli was excellent. You may wish to pour the gravy over rice, which will make it a simple, yet a wholesome meal. (Food rating: 4.5/5)
The herbal mutton soup was amazingly delicious that blew my breath away. The mutton slices was very tender that melted immediately into my mouth. The rich herbal mutton soup was very addictive. I cannot stop drinking and before I knew it, I saw an empty bowl right in front of me. (Food rating 4.5/5)
