Dining at Halia, award-wining restaurant at Raffles Hotel, Singapore

An urban, casual-chic sibling of the award-winning Halia at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Halia at Raffles Hotel is located at another iconic Singaporean Venue, the historic Raffles Hotel.

The restaurant offers contemporary European fare with Asian touches, featuring signature dishes such as the Singapore-style chilli crab spaghettini, the Oriental Pulled Duck, etc.

For starters, the Goats' Cheese Mousse, priced at SGD18, was delightful. The platter comprises the Heirloom Tomato, Olive, Wild Honey and Dried Bricohe. The cheese mousse was creamy and fragrant. A good starter. (Food rating: 4/5)

Enjoy the Poached Prawn Salad. Priced at SGD22, you can enjoy crispy prawns with pasta in al dente style. It was light and sweet at the same time. The dish includes Chilled Skinny Pasta, Carrot, Cucumber, Red Chilli, Coriander, Hazelnut, Ginger Flower Dressing. (Food rating: 4/5)

House Smoked Salmon Pate with Dried Brioche was extremely delightful! I was surprised that the Salmon paste tasted so great!! The pate was dense and the chopped cucumber mixed in the pate gave a refreshing taste. (Food rating: 4.5/5)

Oriental Pulled Duck made of Gherkin, Caper, Micro Herb Salad, Soba Noodes, Sesame Oil. It was a nice simple dish that was delectable. (Food rating: 4.5/5)

Marinated Lamb Loin, priced at SGD43, comprises Tomato Stewed Vegetable, Parsnip Chip, Curry Soy Dressing. Yummy!! (Food rating: 4.5/5)

Halia Chilli Crab, priced at SGD26, is their signature dish. The spaghetti was cooked in al dente style. However, I felt that the chilli crab failed to wow me. It reminded me of Crabmeat Lingini.
