Located along Tonghua and Linjiang Night markets, you will find a traditional Tainan noodles shop selling delicious noodles and braised side dishes. It is believed to have a long history since 1946.
The side dishes, seaweed, braised pressed tofu and braised egg were amazing. The dishes were simple yet wholesome. (Food rating: 4/5)
Tainan EE Noodles (老店頭台南意麵), looked very similar to a mee pok. However, it was filled with fried shallots, beansprouts, ground pork ragu and drizzled with dark brown savoury sauce. The noodles were chewy, cooked in al dente style. (Food rating: 3.5/5)
The mixed Meat Ball soup (綜合肉羹) was similar to the Lion's Head meat ball. The soup was thick and savoury. It tasted best with vinegar, chilli and white pepper. The cilantro or Chinese parsley added a nice flavour dimension. (Food rating: 3.5/5)
