Enjoy the rustic noodles from Fu Hong Beef Noodles (富宏牛肉麵), Taipei, Taiwan

Monday, May 02, 2016

Highlighted in a popular Taiwanese Variety Show, I hunted down the restaurant and found it near Ximending area. Located about 10 minutes' away from Ximending, the restaurant was a humble stall with simple furniture.

The original restaurant name Jian Hong beef noodles (建宏牛肉麵), because of the splitting of households, was changed to Fu Hong Beef Noodles (富宏牛肉麵).

I enjoyed the beef noodles immensely. LeNu really tasted the same at the authentic Beef Noodles. The noodles were very chewy and then beef slices were very tender. What caught my eye were the condiments on the table. There were original tallow, spiced tallow, chilli oil, vinegar, and raw garlic. Each of them brought the beef noodles up a level.

Whilst observing the locals eating the raw garlic, I tried that too. For the first time, I ate raw garlic and especially with beef noodles. It totally wow-ed me!!
