At Food Republic @ Wisma Atria, you will find a new food stall called Red Ring Treasures Cutlet Noodles (红环宝食). This stall boasts of its delicious, succulent deep fried Chicken Chop with chewy egg noodles in al dente style.
The Double Chicken Cutlet Noodles, priced at SGD5.50, came with two pieces of chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet was delicious and succulent. It reminded me of the chicken cutlet from Taiwan, such as Kingweung Pork (金园排骨), etc, with mouthwatering marinade. The noodles, on the other hand, tasted very much like the old school local wanton noodles. However, I felt queasy after eating a few slices of the chicken cutlet. The chicken cutlet was poorly prepared. The chicken cutlet was poorly drained after deep fried, yielding a greasy result. (Food rating: 2.5/5)
The fried fish fillet was a delight. The fish fillet was freshly prepared and the portion was generous. My disappointment with this dish was the fact that it was poorly executed/ prepared. The deep fried fish was so poorly drained that I felt queasy after eating a few pieces. I need something to cleanse or wash the greasy oil aftertaste. As for the noodles, it was identical to the double chicken cutlet noodles above. The noodles and sauce were old school that reminded me of the authentic wanton noodles I used to eat in the past.
