I went with my colleagues to Lau Pat Sat for lunch today. The place was still as crowded as I last went there about four months ago. There are many cuisines from Philippines,Turkish, Chinese, local, seafood and many more that you will be spoilt for choice.
I love the fact that there are many food options that you will not get sick of eating. I stumbled upon this Japanese Teppanyaki stall at Lau Pat Sat. The stall sells a variety of food such as ramen, beef teppanyaki, chicken teppanyaki and even curry rice.
I ordered myself a plate of Chicken Teppanyaki. The way it was cooked was very similar as Pepper Lunch - a similar restaurant outlet in Singapore. However, the way it was prepared at the stall was very simple. They put the pre-cooked chicken cubes into the hot plate glazed with oil. Then, they added some seasoning, put steamed white rice onto the hot plate and finally topped with corn. The dish was then drizzled with spring onions as garnish. I must say that the Chicken Teppanyaki was nothing special. It was a little salty but it was tasteful. The chicken cubes were cooked just nice - tender and moist. I think I will come back again to try their other dishes. This dish cost me SGD5.90 - a rather reasonable amount in the Centrali Business District. (Food rating: 3/5)
