I always thought that the desserts at Beanstro will taste good. I was wrong. In fact, it was a disappointment that I will never want to try it again.
I had an afternoon tea with my girlfriend at Beanstro and ordered ourselves two desserts - Molten Lava Chocolate Cake and a Tiramisu. The total damages were about SGD40, which I felt that it not worth it. We were utterly disappointed.
The chocolate lava cake was bad. The top layer was baked but lower layers were just fudge. It tasted as if it was not even cooked before it was served. (Food rating: 1.5/5)
Where is the tiramisu? There was no taste at all. Tiramisu is a coffee flavoured Italian dessert with mascarpone. But this tiramisu tasted more like cream sponge cake drizzled with cocoa powder on the top. The cream did not taste even like mascarpone. It was an utter disappointment.
