Turkish Kitchen, New York, United States

Before leaving New York City, it is a must to drop by Turkish Kitchen one last time for a great meal. I love their food so much that I am going to miss it immensely for sure.

This time, I ordered another entree which blew my mind away. My appetite was bad that time. Even then, I refused to leave the city without having a nice delicious Turkish food.

The cream of chicken soup was still remarkably delicious despite the numerous times I dined at the restaurant. The rich broth and tenderising chicken meat were yummy. Having a slice of their freshly baked bread with the soup was a great experience. (Food rating: 4/5)

Cacik is made of homemade yogurt mixed with chopped cucumber, blended with garlic, mint and dill. Priced at USD5, it was a refreshing appetiser. However, I could not finish the entire dish as I was not into yogurt, except frozen yogurt, at all.  Nevertheless, I enjoyed taking a couple of mouthfuls of it. If you do not really enjoy yogurts, why not share it with someone to avoid food waste? (Food rating: 3.5/5)

I love Tilapia Bugulama from Turkish Kitchen. Priced at USD14, the dish was absolutely delicious. Cooked with St Peters fish fillet tilapia, the fillet is then baked in casserole with butter, white wine, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and potatoes. The dish is then topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, served with bulgur wheat pilaf.  The fish fillet was very fresh and the tomato sauce in mozzarella cheese was simply divine. I simply love how the sauce complemented the fish so well. This dish is a must to order even if you do not have much appetite. It will definitely you enjoy your food immensely. (Food rating: 4.5/5)

How about trying something different like grilled lamb? The Iskender Kebab, priced at USD 11, is vertically grilled lamb sliced very thin, served with garlic yogurt and tomato sauces over pita bread. The tender and delicious grilled lamb slices were unforgettable. The delicious marinated lamb complemented the rice and pita breads. So, what are you waiting for? (Food rating: 4/5)
