Famiglia @ 8th Ave, New York, United States

We started our day walking from Brooklyn Heights and ended up at Famiglia for our first meal of the day. The weather was very cold and we also needed to thaw ourselves before continuing our journey to Union Square.

This particular outlet was the place I used to go for meals after class and it brought back fond memories. I loved the familiar surroundings and the aromatic fragrance of freshly baked pizzas.

At Famiglia today, we spent a total of USD14.50 including two cups of beverages.

We ordered a Silician Pizza, which was a thicker pizza crust topped with cheese and tomato sauce. The cheese was soft and it was fun pulling it away from our mouths. The freshly prepared dough was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. (Food rating: 4/5)

The Beef Lasagna amazed me! The lasagna was drowned with delicious tomato sauce and heaps of cheese. It was heavenly! I loved it and could not stop eating it. The sauce looked ordinary but it tasted as if a lot of work had been put in to make it so delicious. I am definitely going to have this again when I am back. (Food rating: 4/5)

The Lasagna came with a loaf of garlic bread. The bread was beautifully toasted with generous topping of garlic bits. The garlic bits and herbs made the bread very fragrant. Dip the garlic bread into the tomato sauce, it tasted superbly wonderful when eaten together. (Food rating: 4/5)
