Brooklyn Diner is an all-American comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a nostalgic diner-style space. It came highly recommended by an acquaintance and without any thoughts, I went to the restaurant the next day.
It was a nice cosy space and unconsciously you were brought to the old Brooklyn ambience. At first, I felt that I was in a Hollywood movie - Back to the Future. The setting was so in the 50's and was pretty warm. The restaurant was very popular and we were lucky to get a table before the peak hours.
We ordered three dishes. I think I'd ordered the Perfect Plate that served with hummus, feta, tomato, quinoa and walnut, kale and little gem salad, with shrimps. Despite the recommendation, I was very underwhelmed. The food was very rich in flavour, mainly salty. It was a little difficult for me to finish the food without glurping lots of water.
