Jojoen ( 叙々苑) @ Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo, Japan

One of the must-go destinations was the Tokyo Skytree. It was the tallest structure in Japan in 2010 and was recently opened in May 2012. We walked from Asakusa to Tokyo Skytree, which was just across the river bank.

I remembered watching a Taiwanese travel documentary that recommended the Tokyo Skytree. At that time, they could see the Tokyo Tower from Skytree. However, I did not get to have their view since I was not observing from the observatory. We went to the Tokyo Skytree at the 34th floor for lunch and enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Tokyo landscape.

We were amazed how the tenderising Wagyu Beef was cheaper than back home. If you are in Japan, you may consider splurging some of your tour money for Wagyu Beef. The total amount spent for two persons was about $200.

I would go back again if I ever visit Tokyo again.

We ordered an assorted plate of pork (Pork Back Ribs, Fatty Pork and Boston Butt) in sweet soy sauce. This was the first meat set served. When we cooked and ate the pork slices, our eyes lit up. Both of us concluded that this was fantastic. We were filled with praises and could not stop grilling the delicious pork. Damages: JPY2,200 (Food rating: 3/5)

We ordered the sweet and spicy Assorted Kimchi of cucumber, white radish, vegetable and lettuce. All of them were delicious. However, I love the cucumber and lettuce best. This is a good side dish to whet your appetiser. Damages: JPY1,000 (Food rating: 4/5)

We ordered a BBQ special but sadly we did not managed to take down the name of the dish as it as in Japanese. We were wow-ing at the assorted pork already but this beef dish was one notch above the pork. We were flabbergasted and surprised how the meat could be so tender and juicy at the same time. It was an superb yakiniku dish. (Food rating: 3.5/5)

I ordered myself a Bibimbap with gochujang (Korean red chilli paste). The bibimbap or Korean mixed rice had bamboo shoots, vermicelli, egg strips, white radish strips, bean sprouts and fernbrake. When served, I wondered why the red chilli paste was missing. Nevertheless, the rice dish was still delicious when ate it on its own. Damages: JPY800 (Food rating: 3.5/5)

The final yakiniku dish was the deluxe beef ribs - deluxe marbled beef ribs with mouth-watering taste. Oh my! Oh my! This deluxe beef ribs was the climax and highlight of our yakiniku dining experience. The meat was so tender that it disintegrated when you chewed. Chewing was effortless. Based on my experience, you must order a bowl of white rice. The meat was so good with rice. Damages: JPY3,000 (Food rating: 4.5/5)

We also ordered a cold thick noodles. The noodles were chewy and delicious. I loved the texture immensely. The soup or sauce was light and blended very well. We were slurping loudly to show that we enjoyed the noodles. The noodles was JPY1,000. (Food rating: 3/5)
