Founded nearly 30 years ago, Applebee's is a casual dining chain that draws people of all ages with its family-friendly atmosphere and signature bar and grill menu. Applebee's continues to grow and is operating in 49 states, 15 international countries and 1 US territory.
After shopping at the Napa Valley Premium Outlet, we stopped at Applebee's - the family-friendly restaurant for dinner. The wait was short and we were served by the friendly and warm serving staff. Somehow, the ambience at Applebee's in the United States is somewhat different from back home.
We ordered ourselves a serving of Appetizer Sampler, which comprise of mozzarella sticker, spinach & artichoke dip, cheese quesadilla grande (with bacons) and the boneless wings. I think that the sampler is a good choice as it has all the appetisers that you may want to try at smaller portions. What I love most is the cheese quesadilla grande. The warm and delicious bacon with skin was delicious. Not forgetting the mozzarella cheese sticks, you must give it a try too. (Food rating: 3.5/5)
I ordered myself a Napa Chicken and Portobellos. This is a huge portion and remember to share with someone else if you are a small eater. The dish was served with a grilled chicken breast topped with portobello mushrooms and onions smothered in a rich red wine sauce. The dish was also served over sauteed zucchini, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, red onions and crispy red potatoes. I must say that the entree was delicious, especially the tender juicy chicken breast. The portobello mushrooms and red potatoes were equally good as well. (Food rating: 3.5/5)
