Andalé Mexican Restaurant, San Francisco, United States

After spending a week in San Francisco, I realised how time flies and we had to leave the country. During our stay in San Francisco, it was memorable - meeting old friends, visiting new places, and reminiscing old places. Of course, we cannot forget the great food we have tried at San Francisco. When we are waiting for our flight, we stumbled upon a Mexican restaurant called Andalé. It was a simple restaurant with a bar. Passengers can either dine in or have a cold beer.

We spent about USD30.00 for two.

I ordered myself a Grilled Chicken Quesadilla. “Queso” is cheese in Spanish. At first, it looked like a piece of Roti Canai or Prata wrapped over meat with sauce. What I liked most was the crispy crust with moist chicken meat sauce inside. The dish is made of melted jack and cheddar cheese, guacamole, tomatoes, onions, chiles, sour cream, romaine lettuce inside a toasted flour tortilla. I ate once at Applebee's at Napa Valley and it had been one of my favourite since. I hope to learn how to make this dish so that I can have this wonderful melted cheese wrapped over a tortilla. My friend ordered Grilled Fajitas (see photo above). It was grilled chicken and steak served with slow-cooked Mayocoba beans, Mexican rice, guacamole, pico de gallo (salsa), sour cream and corn tortilla. We liked the tender chicken and steak. The beans and rice were equally good.  The entire dish was superbly good. I would love to try other Mexican dishes in the near future. (Food rating: 3/5)
