Located at the Singapore Management University, it was founded in 2012 and managed by five passionate students. The part-time servings staff are students from various tertiary institution. The warm lights and comfy furnishings are ideal for group gatherings.

I ordered the Sir Blackstone. The price for the brunch was a little pricy at $11. Other cafes sell at similar set but with a beverage and soup. We waited for at least half hour to have my order served. While waiting, we were served with the lunch dish at least two times. If it was not for the rain, I might have gone somewhere else for lunch.

Sir Blackstone is served with grilled streaky bacon and poached egg drizzled with hollandaise sauce. Along with the dish, it is also served with potato salad and mesclun salad. When it was served, the bread was nicely toasted. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked. I liked the way the bacon was grilled as it was not oily at all. After the meal, I left the cafe unsatisfied. The mushroom risotto was creamy and the mushrooms were aromatic. However, the rice was a little under cooked. Despite the delicious creamy sauce and aromatic mushrooms, I still failed to enjoy the dish. The undercooked rice was difficult to chew. I hope that they would improve with the rice. If Gordon Ramsay were to be in the kitchen, he would have thrown the dish into the bin. (Food rating: 2/5)
