Located at Bugis Village, Noodle Star, a sister brand of renowned Koo Kee Yong Tow Foo Mee, serves a wonderful variety of dishes that will leave one spoil for choice. The classic la mian (拉面) (noodles) flavours and a variety of delicious soup will tantalise your taste buds and have you crave for more.
Besides the main dish, I topped up another $3.90 for a side dish and a beverage. In total I spent about $12.00 for lunch. I enjoyed my dining experience at Noodle Star and will be coming back for more.

Dumplings with Hot & Sour Sauce (酸辣饺子), though it looked very simple, were delicious. I enjoyed the hot and sour sauce with the dumplings. The sauce and the dumplings blended very well. The dumplings were cooked perfectly.
La Mian in Minced Meat (Pork) and Mushroom Sauce (炸酱拉面) is another great dish. I love the texture of the noodles. It was neither under nor over cooked. What I like too is the cucumber strips that add the extra crunch to the noodles. (Food Rating: 3/5)
Juicy News (话梅物语) is a refreshing drink. It was neither too sour nor sweet. The beverage was just nice. I like it. (Food Rating: 3/5)
La Mian with Braised Beef (五香牛肉拉面) is another favourite. Although it looks very simple, the broth is rich in taste and yet light. Most of the noodles with braised beef I ate before were either herbal or a little bland. At Noodle Star, the noodles were perfectly cooked. It is really enjoyable. I will definitely be back for more. Deep-fried Crispy Spring Roll (酥脆芋丝卷) is made from yam. The spring roll was deep fried. I did not enjoy this dish at all. I find it very oily. The oil is still seeping when I press the spring roll with a pair of chopsticks. (Food Rating: 1.5/5)

Sliced Pork with Garlic Sauce (蒜泥白肉) is superb! The tender moist
sliced pork with delicious garlic sauce is a perfect combination. The
freshly sliced cucumbers added the crunchiness too. It is a perfect dish
for two. Remember to buy a box of breath mints after the meal. (Food Rating: 3/5)
