After combing Vivocity for several hours, we decided to try Poulet. Poulet is the first French casual restaurant chain concept in Singapore. This concept aims to introduce a modern French-themed bistro offering affordable French classics to the mass market.

We received a warm welcome by the friendly staff. The nice dining ambience made us feel warm and cosy.

I love the French Onion Soup. The onions were sweet and the broth was aromatic. The caramelized onions were so soft that they disintegrated with every mouthful. The toasted bread cubes (Cheese Croutons) were delightful too. They were a perfect combination. (Food Rating: 3.5/5)

Poulet Rotisserie was also heavenly. Poulet means chicken and Rotisserie refers to a style of roasting where the meat is skewered in the pit. The mean was very tender. You do not need to use a lot of strength to cut the chicken. Minimal force was required to tie the meat apart. However, the white creamy sauce was a little strong. It was not overbearing but strong. Made with beef tails, the Oxtail Stew is braised with red wine, stock, carrot and onions. The ox tail was very tender and soft. I could taste the strong red wine in the rich broth. I just wish there is a few slices of bread to dip with. (Food Rating: 3/5)

Tiramisu was a delightful dessert to end the meal with a sweet note. The tiramisu was topped with a generous layer of cocoa powder. Then as you dug deeper, the mascarpone was rich and therapeutic. Finally when you reached the bottom, you could taste the rich coffee aroma soaked in sponge fingers. Instead of having a tub of ice cream, you rather have this tiramisu to soothe your bad days.
