Gourmet Dumping House 南北风味, Boston, United States

Gourmet Dumpling House was highly recommended by a friend who stayed in Boston for seven years. We tried to patronise the restaurant more than once but could not get a seat. The restaurant was forever crowded. The queue would go beyond the restaurant to the street. One good suggestion was to go earlier before the crowd comes.

We went to have an early lunch before noon and found a table quickly. Another group behind me had to wait for a table. Soon the lunch crowd came. The queue started to get longer...

We ordered ourselves a serving of Salted Fish Fried Rice and a steamed dumping with pork and leek 韭菜豬肉水餃. The food came very quickly.

The fried rice was served first. The rice was cooked grainy. The fried salted fish complemented the rice very well. The chicken was equally delicious. I loved to eat the rice and salted fish together. The portion was suitable for sharing.

Recommended by the waitress, I ordered the steamed dumpling with pork and leek. The dumplings came with a light soy dumpling sauce. The sauce complemented the dumpling, unlike those which were available in the super market. I look forward to try the other soup dumplings or steamed dumplings.

This restaurant is worth going.
