Enclave near the city centre of Oxford, Browns Restaurant or Browns Oxford was the second branch of Browns to open. Prior to the restaurant, the building was a Morris garage. Browns Restaurant converted the garage into one of the first of its kind - an English brasserie.

We found Browns when we were meeting a friend after class. Since we were early, we decided to have breakfast there. Sitting in the restaurant and looking at the scene out of the windows is relaxing and luxurious. It was as if we stopped time and enjoyed watching the busy people walking by.

The set, excluding beverages, cost GBP9.00.

We ordered two sets of Traditional Breakfast meal that comprise of a dry cured smoked back bacon, cumberland sausage, grilled tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, black pudding, toasts and two range egg (any style). We asked for poached eggs. Starting from the grilled tomatoes (left clockwise direction), the tomatoes were very sweet and disintegrated into our mouth very quickly. I loved the way the poached eggs were cooked. It was perfectly cooked and the yolk was still runny. I love it best with a dash of salt and pepper over the egg. The smoked back bacon was perfect too. The lightly charred corners of the bacon enhanced the taste and aroma. The toasts were crisp and fresh.
